Three games for the price of one at CAB, and a chance to be obnoxious on FSC? Score.

I have seen a couple of double headers in my time but never a triple header before! Over 4.5 hours of live soccer … and it is FA Cup Final day as well. Anyway here are the details:

4:30pm – Kansas City Wizard’s Under 16s vs Chicago Fire Under 16s.
7:30pm – Kansas City Wizard’s vs Chicago Fire followed by KC Athletics vs AAC Eagles.

You will be asked to exit the stadium following the under-16s game so you will have an opportunity to get some food and maybe a drink or two in at the tailgate. The game between KC Athletics and the AAC Eagles is a US Open Cup Qualifier. The Athletics are attempting to do what the Wizard’s failed to do by qualifying and the game provides some good exposure for a local team that is barely on the radar.

The main event is obviously the Eastern Conference clash between the Wizards and the Fire, and it is the final time this year that a Wizards regular season game will be nationally televised. Fox will be doing their non-game broadcast from the party deck by the Berm and they are requesting our fans to hang out behind their desk during the pregame and post game shows. This could be fun, often on TV CAB looks like a grave yard, the cameras focus on the empty side of the stadium and so showing the rest of the MLS following world that we actually are alive here in this sleepy little cow town might be a good thing. Wear colors ….. Somebody bring a sign that says ‘his name is Auvrey, not Overy’.
